Bunkers Hill

Bunkers Hill is a small, recently felled forest at the edge of Castlewellan Town featuring a short circular trail suitable for walking and family cycling with glorious views of Dundrum Bay, Slieve Croob and the Mourne Mountains.

The trail is complemented by a Natural Play Trail for children aged between 4 and 11 years. The Play Trail is made almost entirely out of natural materials.  It includes basket swings, a lookout tower, amphitheatre, story teller's chair and seats as well as a bespoke climbing wall that the kids are sure to love!

The walking and family cycling trail starts and finishes at the Play Trail and is fully signposted.

To help make the most of the stunning views the trail also incorporates 3 panoramic viewpoints where seating is provided for your comfort so you can stop and soak up the views.
