Ligoniel Park is a picturesque and tranquil green space located in north Belfast. Nestled within the scenic Ligoniel Valley, the park is known for its natural beauty, featuring a mix of wooded areas, grassy fields, and Boodle’s Dam that create a peaceful retreat for visitors.
The park is crisscrossed by a network of walking trails that meander through woodland and open space, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature. The mature trees, lush undergrowth, and the gentle sounds of birdsong create a calming environment that feels far removed from the urban surroundings.
One of the highlights of Ligoniel Park is Boodle’s Dam, one of four in the Ligoniel which add to the park's charm. The park also offers panoramic views to across to Divis, Lagan Valley and as far as the Dromara Hills and Mourne Mountains.
Above the park is access to the Crumlin Road, connecting the park by footpath to Cave Hill Country Park.
